The Fulbright Educational Advising Center (FEAC) in Bucharest is affiliated to the U.S. Department of State and part of the 450 plus Education USA network, which actively promotes U.S. study in over 170 countries around the world.

Our center has served over 100,000 Romanian students since its inauguration in 1993. FEAC, which is part of the Fulbright Commission in Romania, is the foremost source of information in the country on U.S. higher education. Its mission is to promote U.S. study opportunities and facilitate access to study programs in the U.S. With a well-stocked library of college catalogs, guides, reference books, and directories, regularly updated through EducationUSA grants, FEAC offers extensive information and guidance on the U.S. education system, study programs at U.S. colleges and universities, admissions requirements, application procedures, funding sources, cultural and academic adjustment, the F1 visa interview, etc. The information is provided in the form of admissions training sessions (more information in the Calendar section), individual counseling, and ad-hoc consultations with U.S.- trained educational advisers.

FEAC also offers a comprehensive collection of preparation materials for the standardized tests (e.g., TOEFL, SAT, GRE, GMAT) required for admission to U.S. colleges and universities. Apart from the rich testing library, our visitors also have free access to a FEAC-operated computer center with nine work-stations and permanent Internet connection. All services are free of charge.

FEAC further supports undergraduate applications to U.S. study by acting as SAT administration center, one of the three in Bucharest.
