American Corners

There are currently nine American Corners in Romania, in:
 
•    Bacau;
•    Baia Mare;
•    Bucharest;
•    Cluj-Napoca;
•    Constanta;
•    Craiova;
•    Iasi;
•    Targu Mures;
•    Timisoara.
 
According to the official information on the U.S. Embassy in Romania website, the American Corners Program’s purpose is to promote intercultural understanding and cooperation between the USA and Romania by providing accurate and diverse information about the United States on a variety of cultural topics.

If you are interested in U.S. literature, history, geography, economics, as well as introductory info on U.S. study, visit your local American Corner and check out its books and movies collection!
