The QS World Grad School Tour, the world’s most prestigious series of postgraduate education fairs, will be in Bucharest on Saturday 20 March 2010, at Intercontinental bringing with it international universities and graduate schools such as Instituto de Empresa, EMLYON, Vienna University of Economics and Business, Vlerick University and many others alike. The Tour, now in its 10th year of operation, will visit 61 cities in 37 countries around the globe in 2010.
The Fulbright Seminar “Graduate Study Opportunities” is scheduled from 15:00 to 16:00.

One of the most recent events organized by the American Culture Club (ACC) at Transilvania University in Brasov was a student art exhibition held as a donation drive for a local charity, FAST Romania. More about the event in
Jennifer Gable’s testimonial, US Fulbright Grantee, member of the ACC and volunteer at FAST Romania, a social and youth development non-profit that works on capacity-building projects in the local Rroma communities.

A new grant competition has just been opened this February.
International Fulbright Science and Technology Award is a very generous program for PhD study in the fields of science, technology or engineering. Candidates can be BA and MA students from both public and private universities. The Romanian applicants are invited to submit applications no later than April 25th, 2010.

A new grant competition has just opened this March for the Romanian BA, MA, PhD students and young researchers from both public and private universities. Fulbright Junior Award is a very generous program for masters’ study or research in the United States, in any field except clinical medicine, for academic year 2011-2012. The exhibit is hosted by the Inter-art Foundation, a cultural foundation based in Aiud that organizes art events on both a national and international scope. The opening reception for the exhibition will be held on February 20th at 5 pm at the Galeria d’Art Aiud, Bailor 33 street.
The exhibition in Lauren’s words:
“A Fish in the Sky is a series of photos I made along the Black Sea in November. The images are about encounters and missed encounters, hope and abandonment— in many ways they explore the dichotomy of emotions that I have felt myself and seen expressed in others since arriving in Romania.”

Two new books with the Romanian-US Fulbright Commission logo were published by Tritonic Editorial Group: "Romanian Journalism" and "Wooden Language in the Press” both by Ilie Rad.
The books approach different subjects of interest, all related with media communication.
