EdUSA Romania Virtual Intern Connects with Romanian Students via Webinar

On October 19, we kicked off our Fulbright-EducationUSA Romania fall webinar series with an engaging presentation entitled “Beyond the Classroom: Life on American College Campuses”, featuring guest speaker Boston Kistka, one of our EducationUSA Romania VSFS interns and graduate assistant at SUNY-University at Buffalo.
Participants in the event, high school students from Bucharest and elsewhere, had a chance to learn more about daily life on a U.S. campus, from practical aspects, such as accommodation, to the myriad activities an undergraduate student can join in, while attending a U.S. university.
A large portion of the webinar was allotted to the Q&A section, in which Romanian students asked their own questions, on topics ranging from cultural adjustment to financial aid opportunities. Boston provided the participants with useful tips and encouraged them to get in touch with the FEAC-EducationUSA team for personalized guidance through the application process.
The Virtual Student Foreign Service (VSFS) is an internship program run by the U.S. Department of State enabling American students to intern remotely for different agencies and organizations all over the world.
