Courtney-Sophia Henry Presents at the American Corner in Timisoara

On Monday, November 13, Fulbright ETA Courtney-Sophia Henry, affiliated with the West University of Timisoara, made a presentation at the American Corner in Timisoara on the contemporary indigenous experience.

She answered questions about Native American history and spirituality/religion, and shared the history of her tribe, the Saginaw Chippewa (Ojibwe), highlighting their recent language revitalization efforts and Pan-Indian culture such as the modern day powwow.

The William Shakespeare High School students attending the event gained a new understanding and exposure to this unique aspect of American culture.
