The FEAC Music Seminar Series Is Gaining More Fans

This past Thursday, the friends and visitors of the Fulbright Educational Advising Center attended the presentation “Black and Blue: The Birth and Growth of Blues Music". It was our FEAC intern and blues singer Iulia Heleanu who moderated this second session of our weekly music seminars, introducing the audience to blues music - its roots and evolution, artists and legends. The public was engaged in quizzes and Q&As throughout the event, thus having the opportunity to explore and celebrate U.S. cultural history through music. Mr. Bruce Kleiner, Counselor of Public Affairs of the US Embassy, blues connoisseur and a constant follower of FEAC and Fulbright activities on our Facebook pages, joined us for yesterday’s presentation, which we hope he enjoyed. Next Thursday, on September 16, Stefan Ambrosie will continue the Music Seminar Series with a presentation dedicated to the art of the 1960s protest songs.
