Promoting the Fulbright Senior Award Program for Romanian Applicants

This October most actions connected with the Fulbright program for Romanian citizens have focused on the Fulbright Senior Award promotion as well as on advising activities devoted to prospective applicants.
Beyond the online program promotion performed on a daily basis by the Fulbright staff, a series of direct presentations took place at the University of Bucharest, Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi, Politehnica University of Bucharest, West University of Timisoara, Bucharest University of Economic Studies, and Transilvania University of Brasov. In that respect, constant communication with the Fulbright Ambassadors from different academic centers represented a key element in planning and running such activities which contributed to a better interaction with the potential candidates. For instance the events held in Iasi and Timisoara were organized by Drs. Sorina Chiper, Cristina Cheveresan and Bogdan Tulbure - Romanian Fulbright Ambassadors and members of their universities’ teaching staff - who generously offered useful competition details, know-how and recommendations to their colleagues. At the Politehnica University and ASE in Bucharest participants also benefited from the advice of the Fulbright Ambassadors: Professors Mihaela Albu and Mariana Nicolae.
