Romanian Fulbrighter Cristina Galalae presents her research at the CCT and IAIR academic conferences

Cristina Galalae„There are many ways to resume a Fulbright research term and I strongly believe that there is no better epitome than sharing the results of one’s work. And there are indeed several avenues to achieve that and I believe there is no better place than the academic agora. During my last month as a Fulbright researcher at the IC2 Institute, University of Texas at Austin I had the pleasure to present my work in the context of two renowned academic conferences. Needless to say that if it wouldn’t have been for the training and networking facilities that I had access to as a Fulbrighter, I wouldn’t have ever dared to submit my work to the evaluation of these communities.

Jazz Stories with Fulbright Alumnus Cezar Ghioca

CezarJazzCezar Ghioca, former Fulbright researcher in musical theatre at Kent State University and presently artistic director at "Revue Theatre Constantin Tanase" in Bucharest, sent an update on his project, "Jazz Stories", a show to which he is warmly inviting you on June 23, at Mogosoaia Palace, 6 p.m.

Jazz stories is a project that started as a hobby of two professionals in the musical theatre area – the musical director Dan Ardelean and the artistic director Cezar Ghioca. Their collaboration has a history about one decade, starting with the creation of the musical theatre department at UNATC, working together at The McClinton Musical Theatre Arts Foundation and most recently collaborating as colleagues at the Revue Theatre Constantin Tanase in Bucharest. The two artists created a program based on a jazz repertory through which they explore the ‘theatricality’ inherent to the selected musical numbers.
